Modern agriculture began in this area starting with apple and pear orchards at Earlscourt around 1864. Its been said of our region that if you can get water on it, you can grow anything here. Indeed.

Our journey began in 2008 to discover not only what wine grapes would grow well here, but what varieties would LOVE it here. The results of this journey so far can be found in our wines.

Having the fruit realize it’s full potential in the bottle occurs almost entirely in the vineyard. We are very proud to offer wines that are made from entirely Lillooet Grown grapes.

When grapes are harvested and pressed, our role in the winery is simple: step aside and let them speak. Sound fruit from healthy vines already contains everything needed to become great wine.

If a gentle touch is required, we’re there—but we never manipulate or chase a predetermined style, aroma, or “target flavour.” Cliff and Gorge wines are honest, unfiltered expressions of the vineyard.

We believe you should taste the land as it truly is. That’s why we add nothing and take nothing away that would alter the wine’s natural character. That philosophy extends to oak—used nowhere in our wines—so the purity of the fruit remains front and centre.

We’re not driven by awards or critics. Our goal is simpler and more meaningful: to place clean, vibrant, handcrafted wines in your hands at a fair price.
